In the planet’s ancient lore, there are legendary creatures called “humans,” said to be doggies’ best friends. Back when she was a student pup, Mofu’s greatest wish was to use the wages she’d earn someday to buy a human figurine to display at home and decorate her little den. One day after graduating from Puppy Academy, Mofu was on her way to a job interview at her 18th company when the passerby pups on the street suddenly let out a collective gasp. Mofu turned to look—and saw a doggy carrying a giant human standee in its mouth! Mofu was so entranced by the sight that her foot met thin air, and she tumbled down a deep, pitch-black hole. She was sure she would shine in this human world, but it turned out neither skill was of any use.
