Hazel has long since grown used to life as a transfer student. Every few years, she packs up her school bag, takes on a new name, and starts her student life all over again. After all, a girl who will look sixteen forever is bound to raise suspicions if she stays at one school for too long.
To keep her identity hidden, Hazel has racked up so many student files that, stacked up, they’d actually tower over her treasured jelly collection. That’s right—jelly. She has an almost obsessive love for these translucent, wobbly little things. Her bag charms, notebook covers, pajama prints—every single one of them is jelly-themed. And tucked away in a corner of her dorm room is an emergency jelly reserve box. When she’s in a good mood, she’ll eat one; when she’s in a bad mood, she’ll polish off three in one go.
Recently, she transferred to yet another new school, and thanks to her wealth of “student experience,” she was elected to the disciplinary committee. Every day, as she stands at the school gate taking down the names of rule-breakers, she can’t help quietly turning it over in her mind: How long will I get to stay here this time? Will I get dragged into some bizarre incident again?
And most important of all—this time, will she be able to unravel the mystery of her own origins?
More to come. Stay tuned.
