Tocci

A star student at an alien university, Tocci came to Earth because his graduation thesis required him to experience life as another alien species. The moment he landed, he met an elderly couple who longed for a child, so Tocci used his powers to forge years of happy memories and became their son. It was the last time Tocci would use his powers before finishing his thesis; ever since, he’s been living as an ordinary person, though he clearly isn’t very good at it.

To get to know humans better, Tocci posed as a down-on-his-luck ordinary college student and was taken in by a kindhearted circus ringmaster, landing the clown job he’d hoped for. But thanks to the industry’s decline, competition from the magician next door, and his own lack of focus on the job, he got demoted to selling tickets at the box office.

Just recently, Tocci noticed that his boss seemed to have built a formidable rival called the “automated ticketing system.” To avoid being put out of work for good, he decided to take his act online.

“Anyway, I hope you’ll all support my musical dreams.” With that, the creepy clown—who had barged into the VirtuaReal office only to be trussed up to a pillar one second later—finished telling his story. Then he got hired.

Joi

“Uhh… I mean, there’s nothing all that special about me,” Joi mumbled, summing herself up in one sentence.

Joi always looks expressionless, so much so that people sometimes mistakenly think she’s a little cold, but deep down, she truly wants to get along with everyone. To make that simple little wish come true, she’s taking on the job she’s least suited for: streaming.

Come to think of it, this adorable girl—not one for words and always speaking softly—does have a bit of teenage rebellion in her.

Little by little, Joi is learning to open up more, and she’s looking forward to meeting the real you in the virtual world.

kiti

kiti is a lucky cat, as you can easily tell from the treasure bowl in her hands and the gold coins at her waist. Besides wealth, kiti’s luck in love and gacha is off the charts too. As for… luck in other areas, well, that’s up to all of you to unlock.

The strange thing is, even though kiti is a lucky cat, all the fortune she attracts goes to other people, and she can’t enjoy any of it herself; she can’t even turn the gold ingots in her treasure bowl into cat food. So kiti has to keep working one part-time job after another just to fill her belly.

Then one day, at long last, a beautiful girl with black twin tails appeared before kiti and said to her, “I can give you a job.”

“What would I get out of this job?”

“People will love you.”

kiti’s forlorn eyes suddenly lit up. It had been so long since anyone had adored her that she eagerly asked:

“Then what do you need from me? Luck with money?”

“That’s not the main thing. If you could just improve the feng shui a bit, that’d be great—you know, make sure nothing goes wrong with the equipment in the live rooms, stuff like that.”

And so the stray lucky cat got herself a new home and a new job.

Even with her other two heads missing for the moment, she’s still an ancient three-in-one being, and each time, it could be a different one of the three sisters fooling you. Talk about three for the price of one!

According to “Miss” Qilou herself, she absolutely did not join VirtuaReal to deceive people more efficiently or to gather more lies to boost her powers, and it’s absolutely not because she’s jealous of how world-famous old acquaintances like Qiongqi and Taotie are and wants to raise her own profile. She just has way too much time on her hands and wanted a way to kill it. That’s all there is to it.
