“Hi, everyone, I’m SUI. Nice to meet you, and I look forward to working with you. That’s the end of my self-introduction…”
“Hm? Is that too short…?”
The white-haired girl across the desk looked uneasy, then went on to explain:
“My family always says I should have good qualities like being calm and reserved, so I’ve been relearning how to talk lately.”
The interviewer opened the résumé in hand. Yep, it’s a bird.
“My family also says that no matter how beautifully you sing, if you talk too much, it’s all just noise. But forcing a bird to be calm and reserved is just way too hard—”
“I long to be free, I want to be loud, I just can’t take it anymore—”
The interviewer closed the résumé, took a good look at SUI, then at the clock on the wall, and finally, calmly, pushed up their glasses.
“So I want to get out there and see the world. Maybe it’ll change me for the better? If I ever get too excited, you have to remind me! It’s a promise!”
Yep, the cuckoo clock definitely needs a new bird.
More to come. Stay tuned.
