Chiyuu is utterly baffled by the human world. She doesn’t hate humans, she isn’t bitter about the world, and she’s certainly not out to kill anyone for their money. She’s a perfectly well-behaved ghost who simply wants to have normal conversations with people, share the spirited little schemes she cooks up, and make lots of friends. What’s so wrong with that? Yet wherever she goes, the most bloodcurdling rumors spring up: “the ghost woman making crazy faces in the mirror,” “the teddy bear that whimpers,” and “the self-playing piano with tunes so awful they’ll make your teeth fall out.” These rumors give Chiyuu, who’s been trying so hard, a strange little thrill, but they also leave her deeply disappointed. As her face grows more twisted by the day, she worries more and more about her future. After trying every trick in the book, Chiyuu got her hands on a phone from a certain woman with black twin tails—a phone that lets her communicate normally with the outside world. But in the process, she also signed a contract to become a VirtuaReal streamer. The work looks like a real hassle, but at least now she can make contact with everything around her. For someone who has nothing, that’s enough.
More to come. Stay tuned.
